DESCRIPTION This stunning Rolex Submariner 5513 no date was produced in 1977 and features an absolutely perfect matte dial. The Rolex Submariner is the mother of all dive watches. Throughout its long history, the Submariner has been continually improved and modified. This circumstance gave rise to numerous versions studied and admired by vintage collectors. The undated reference 5513, manufactured from approximately 1966 to 1984, is particularly appreciated. Due to the symmetry of the dial created by the lack of a date window, the watch has that classic look that many vintage collectors fall in love with. Another feature that makes the reference 5513 immediately recognizable is the inscription on the dial in two lines at 6 o’clock. The current Rolex Submariner model 5513 features a maxi dial with larger indexes than previous versions. There were 5 different executions within the Maxi family. The very first version (MK1) is the easiest to identify, as it was the only one with the word SUBMARINER under the depth rate. On all later versions, “”SUBMARINER”” was written above the depth rate. CONDITION REPORT Dial: Absolutely impeccable matte dial, original tritium light, signed “SWISS – T 25” at 6 o’clock. Case: Very well preserved Oyster case with full profile, natural signs of wear, reference 5513 inside case back, numerals intact between lugs. Bezel: rotating diving bezel in very good general condition, small scratch between 3 and 4 o’clock. Movement: The Rolex 1520 automatic caliber operates reliably and precisely. Bracelet: Oyster bracelet with natural signs of wear, little stretch, bracelet ref. 93150, end links 580, folding clasp stamped S-P5.
