Vintage OMEGA SEAMASTER 1967 Manual Wind Date Men’s Watch – Stainless Steel Superb Restored Condition – Uncommon Movement Today’s offering features this cool and unusual vintage Seamaster De Ville men’s watch. Unlike most Seamasters of the period which were automatic, this reference was powered by Omega’s uncommon Calibre 613 manual wind movement. The thinner movement allows for a thinner case than the automatic Seamasters. And while not all 600 series calibres are particularly common in vintage Seamasters, the 613 with its quick-set date is particularly rare. It measures approximately 33.5mm in diameter without the crown, half a millimetre smaller than a Rolex Date watch. It has a monocoque – or one-piece – case that originally provided water resistance and a slim, elegant profile. The case, when new, achieved high levels of water resistance by not having a separate case back. It is made entirely of Omega parts and has just completed a genuine restoration by experts. It is in magnificent condition. Its case is like new with only minor signs of previous polishing. Its dial has been meticulously restored – the impression could pass for an Omega manufacture to the naked eye. A master watchmaker has overhauled the unusual movement which was originally set to two positions. It runs very well and accurately, keeping time on par with a new Omega, in our test recording position. As a final touch, a new replacement leather strap and a replacement Omega-style buckle have been fitted, making it ready to enjoy straight away. The Seamaster: Omega is perhaps best known to watch connoisseurs for its Seamaster range of dive watches. Introduced in 1948, they were adopted by water sports enthusiasts and often combined striking looks with high-performance movement.
