Luella Silk mid-length dress

Pink and purple floral Luella dress with multiple layers and textures. Size UK 8. The dress I had made mostly of silk, with a jersey vest at the top which adds a touch to the design. The front features internal boning and cups for support, a custom back zipper, pocket, micro-pleated and ruffled layers, and purple accents throughout. it is somewhere between mini and midi length (hits around the knee) depending on your height. Look 20 from the brand’s spring 2009 ready-to-wear fashion show. The Luella brand is sadly gone, but far from forgotten, and is still loved to this day. This piece is in fantastic condition and has never been worn. Luella was known for her original take on traditional English dressing, bringing together fun prints, bright colors and interesting textures to create a piece that should be fake, but looks so pretty. Luella’s designs have been worn by late 2000s/early 2010s computer scientists Alexa Chung, Pixie and Peaches Geldof, Lily Allen, and Chloe Sevigny. This dress would be perfect as a wedding guest or garden party look.
