Galliano titled collection “”Fencing”” and it was inspired by “”biker girls.”” This off-white padded corset was inspired by the quilting found on fencing uniforms. It’s piece that’s designed to be worn forwards, with the lacing in the back, as a corset top or backwards as a vest. Shoulder to shoulder ~12.5 inches. Armpit to armpit ~15 inches. Length ~11 inches (front, center). Note, all measurements are taken laid flat from the side of the garment without the lacing. Good overall condition for the age and the material. There is a small tear to the inside lining just beneath the brand label. There is a scuff or spot on the side with the lacing (photographed) near the bottom side. This corset is an astonishing piece of early John Galliano. It’s a garment that will only appreciate in rarity and value over time.
