It is stamped with the following hallmarks: 925 S Georg Jensen (dotted logo) 311C Torun Vivianna Torun Bülow-Hübe (1927 – 2004), often known simply as Torun, was one of Sweden’s most important silversmiths of the 20th century. She is the first female silversmith has become internationally known. Her most important works include the “Vivianna” watch, the “Möbius” bracelet and the “Dew Drop” earrings and necklaces. Torun’s jewelry was inspired by natural shapes such as flowers, leaves, swirls and the flow of water. It is described as sober, minimalist and simple. Torun was praised for her ability to shape solid materials into seemingly flexible shapes, causing metal to flow like water around the wearer’s neck and shoulders. She did not use valuable stones, preferring pebbles, granite, rock crystal, moonstone and quartz. She is Georg Jensen’s second best-known designer, behind Jensen himself. In 1992, King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden awarded her the Prince Eugene Medal for outstanding artistic achievements. Also in 1992, Georg Jensen held an exhibition in honor of the 25th anniversary of his association with Torun, the 45th anniversary of her work with silver, and her 65th birthday. That same year, the Musee des Arts Decoratifs at the Louvre held a 45-year retrospective of Torun’s work.
