Dolce & Gabbana Maxi skirt

This absolutely incredible vintage Dolce & Gabbana maxi skirt from their iconic hippie inspired Fall 1993 collection features three tiers of very full, densely gathered fabric with vividly coloured floral and paisley prints, velvet trimmings, a black lace ruffle and long silk fringes. It is perfect for dancing and twirling – the photo of Nadja Auermann walking the runway gives you an idea of how beautifully it moves with every step. The photos where the top tiers of the skirt are draped around the shoulders of the mannequin show the richness and opulence of the fabric and its sheer amount – each tier consists of literally yards and yards of fabric. This lavish use of material gives the skirt its substantial weight and is pure luxury. The skirt closes with a zipper and a button at the side. 100% rayon. Made in Italy.
