BULOVA RUBAIYAT DIAMOND 96P184 Elegant women’s dress watch from the American luxury watch house Bulova. Founded in 1875, the Bulova brand was a pioneer by presenting in 1950 the first electronic wristwatch on the market where the frequency regulating element was a tuning fork (which gave shape to the brand logo), unlike current ones that use a quartz crystal. This Bulova-patented system was used on NASA spacecraft during all space travel from 1958 until landing on the Moon. The Rubaiyat collection was first introduced to the market in 1917 and was a pioneer in introducing a watch with a female-focused design for the first time. The word “”rubaiyat”” refers to the title that the British poet and translator Edward Fitzgerald gave to a collection of poems by Omar Khayam (10th-century Persian astronomer, mathematician, and poet). 35mm polished stainless steel case with two polished stainless steel “”brackets”” that wrap around the case to the left and right to join the polished stainless steel three-segment link bracelet. Silvery-white metal dial with radial spiral texture and Arabic numeral hour markers for 3, 6 and 9 o’clock applied in polished metal and set with eight certified diamonds individually set by hand with decorated bezel-setting for the remainder. Brand logo applied in polished metal at 12 o’clock on the dial. Back cover with relief of the figure of the “”Goddess of Time””. Water resistance 3 ATM (30m). Quartz analogue movement made in Japan Miyota GL20 powered by a R364/SR621SW type battery with 60 months of autonomy and an accuracy of ±15 seconds per month.
