Then, in 1956, the Ladybird was unveiled, equipped with the smallest round movement of time. Inspired by the determination of Betty Fietcher who, in 1933, became the first female to lead a watch making company, the collection continues to unleash the magic of mechanical watches, creating movements dedicated to women, notably endowed with horological complications previously reserved for men. PLAYFULLY ELEGANT Embracing a vivid touch of colour, this Ladybird Colours model is beautifully presented within a 34. 9mm 18K red gold case, with pleasing proportions and 59 diamonds, totalling more than 2 carats. Framed by a radiant halo of glistening diamonds, the textured mother-of-pearl dial is the true focal point of the timepiece. The collection’s signature visual balance is subtly disrupted by an asymmetrical touch on each of the dial elements – offset forest green Roman numerals are enhanced by an inner ring, adorned with delicately tapering diamonds as well as a delicately framed small seconds dial at 6 o’clock. Power and precision are provided by the 1163L automatic movement, while scratch resistant sapphire crystal glass, a 100-hour power reserve, and water resistance to 30-metres further enhance performance.
