Ginori 1735 Tableware – ‘Passeggiata Archeologica’ plate, white in White Porcelain
£405.00
Ginori 1735 Tableware ‘Passeggiata Archeologica’ plate, white in White Featuring an illustration that made its début at the Monza Biennale in 1923, and which began was applied to plates from 1924, Richard’s Ginori’s ‘Passeggiata Archeologica’ plate is inspired by a Gio Ponti original. Remarkable for its evocation of an 18th century style and featuring a series of figures in motion, the plate’s surface design recalls the Attività Gentili (Noble Activities) of the same era, with a similar technique of indicating spatial dimension by way of perspective – here, assisted by the tiled floor on which the figures are arranged. The plate takes its name from these symmetrical intervals, divided by architectural elements reminiscent of classical art, and recalls the creative skills of the original Ginori Manufactory with its flawlessly applied two decals which create black highlights on the white silhouettes and the tiling.. {5} Sold by WallpaperSTORE*
