Louis Cartier designed the original Tank in 1917, said to be inspired by the shape of military tanks hed seen on the front lines, and the silhouette has barely changed since. This one keeps to that rectangular case, a silver dial with Roman numerals, blued steel hands, and a railroad track minute ring running just inside the edge. A sapphire cabochon sits on the crown, a detail Cartier has used across the Tank family for decades.
