Rolex Buyers Guide
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Most of us know Rolex as a luxury Swiss wristwatch brand, however did you know that Rolex was actually founded in London by Hans Wilsdorf and Alfred Davis in 1905.
The name Rolex came about a couple of years later in 1908 and although the word Rolex itself doesn’t have a specific meaning, Rolex was easy to pronounce and short enough to fit comfortably on the watch dial.
In 1919, Rolex moved its base of operations to Geneva, Switzerland, to avoid heavy taxation from a recovering post war Britain. The company is currently owned by the Hans Wilsdorf Foundation, a private family trust with UK sales generating an impressive £329m in 2017; up from £268m in 2016.
When choosing any watch it usually down to personal taste, however some Rolex models are more desirable than others and due to limited availability they have very much become an investment with appreciating values.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_gallery images=”282067,282061,282065,282068,282069,282058,282048,282049,282052,282053,282055,282057,282059,282060,282062,282063,282064,282066,282070″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
