'Dudet' chair

A small architectural chair comprising a seat cushion and two tubes that fluidly combine legs, armrests and a backrest in a continuous line, the 'Dudet' by Patricia Urquiola is a striking vision. Produced by Cassina, the soft and comfortable chair strongly references 1970s design, while its easily disassembled curved frame also lends itself to effective circularity. This is possible thanks to an ease of separation between the chair's metal core and its polyurethane foam padding, which is made with a percentage of polyols deriving from biological sources. This facilitates both the disposal of the separate pieces and the recycling or reuse of its noble materials like the steel core.
